Finikounda

Finikounda is a picturesque village at the seaside, built on the sand, at the mid of wonderful beaches that form a natural lace, small and large beaches, sandy or pebbly. It is a typical greek village. The locals know Finikouda as “Taverna”, a name that the place took from the fishermen of the region that would reach the beach in order to relax and enjoy the good wine at the unique tavern and at the same time the unique building of the “village”. It is located at the southwest edge of Messinia, Peloponnese. The village is built on a wonderful beach on the route from Pylos - Methoni and Finikouda to Koroni. In area is the Oenussae complex, consisting of the islands Schiza, Aghia Marina, and Sapientza, an island of rare beauty.
